Accessibility Statement
DDSFAX is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to our platform.
Our Commitment
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review our platform against these standards and prioritize fixes for any issues we identify.
What We Have Done
The following accessibility features are built into DDSFAX:
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard. Skip-to-content links are provided on dashboard pages.
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and ARIA attributes to ensure screen readers can interpret page structure.
- Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Dark mode: A high-contrast dark theme is available and respects your operating system preferences by default. You can toggle it manually with the theme button in the header.
- Responsive design: The interface adapts to screen sizes from mobile phones to large desktop monitors without loss of content or functionality.
- Focus indicators: Visible focus outlines are displayed when navigating with a keyboard.
- Form labels: All form inputs have associated labels and descriptive placeholder text.
- Alt text: Images include descriptive alternative text.
- Error messages: Form validation errors are clearly communicated with text descriptions.
Known Limitations
While we work toward full compliance, the following areas may have limitations:
- PDF fax content: Received fax documents are scanned images rendered as PDFs. These documents may not be fully readable by screen readers because the content originates as a fax transmission image, not as structured text.
- Third-party payment pages: When you are redirected to PayPal or Stripe for payment, those pages are controlled by third-party providers and governed by their own accessibility standards.
